Having been in the music business for more than 20 years, Randy is an experienced music industry attorney. He has extensive experience in music related legal matters both on the recorded music and publishing side and he has served a consultant on numerous music related litigations.
Randy’s law practice encompasses representation of artists, producers, record labels, film and television production companies. The firm's business includes, without limitation, negotiation and drafting recording agreements, publishing agreements, business formation, joint venture agreements, partnerships, trademark and copyright issues, monitoring the court approval process of agreements with minors, dispute resolution and film financing.
Randy has an extensive working knowledge of all facets of the music industry having worked for many years at record labels and then working independently representing artists, producers, executives and record labels. Randy began his music career at EMI Records. He then moved to Def Jam Records and then Island Def Jam Records. He worked as a Business & Legal Affairs executive, then as VP of A & R before moving on to become the GM of the label.
Randy is endorsed by many of his music industry colleagues and his advice is often sought in connection with copyright, royalty issues, producer agreements, sideartist agreements and licensing matters.
